As it has been pointed out, I am also inspired by music. To get into the zone to write, I have to be listening to music. Otherwise, I can’t write. Quite often, it has to do with the scene I am working on. So, if there’s romance, I listen to love songs. If it’s a sad moment, then I listen to sad songs and even uplifting songs to help me get into the mood of not giving up, no matter how challenging life gets. This helps me get into the mind of the character and feel how they are feeling. Even as a young child, I was introduced to music. My grandfather, Perry Jackson, was a singer/songwriter and was even offered a Hollywood deal, which he turned down, but I was one of his blessed descendants, who inherited his love of music.
